Beginning July 16 through the remainder of the growing season, we are going to try something new and different. In response to the bounty of our backyard gardens and the desire to share with others, stop by Sandra Underwood’s backyard at 1511 E. Olive St. from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm every Thursday and enjoy the “fruits of the garden”.
Here’s how it works: Feel free to bring any extra produce you may have from your garden; freshly picked vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits, etc. Select from the available array offered on the tables provided. Take home your fresh picks for a great meal from the neighborhood gardens. You do not need to contribute in order to take. Remember taking what you need helps those who have more than they know what do with! Depending on what’s growing and available, you never know what you’ll find, so be sure to stop by every week!! For more information, email sandrak.underwood@verizon.com. |
